Did not work as I wanted Mar 24, 2012
By Xavier Ocampo Everyone needs to realize that unfortunately there is no breathalyzer under $50 that is going to give you accurate readings 100% of the time. I thought based on past reviews on this item that this could be different. I tested the product during a night of drinking, and after looking for AAA batteries (which by the way does not come with the product), we made sure to follow all of the directions to get accurate readings. After a few drinks I read at .02... which appeared to be accurate. In an attempt to further test the product (and self enjoyment) I drank several beers and a few shots of vodka in under an hour. I waited about half an hour (without drinking) and did it again... reading read at .02 again... I thought that to be strange and drink twice as much as I did the first hour... waited another half hour and tried it again... still read 0.02... A little annoyed I gave it to another person who had been drinking for a while as well and it read .00... so it is either that we all have incredible metabolisms where our bodies can break down the alcohol at superhuman levels, or the device was faulty (the most likely cause), or this product isn't very good. I am hesitant to give this such a bad rating but based on my experience it did not work as it should at all.

This is a great little breathalyzer that actually works! Nov 22, 2011
By Dawn This is a great little breathalyzer that actually works! Finally a company has produced a keychain breathalyzer that is accurate and easy to use. I have tried some keychain units in the past and there were useless. This one will actually display the digits for your readout instead of some flashing lights. It's also small to keep in your pocket if you don't want everyone seeing a breathalyzer on your keyring. Will be getting more for some holiday gifts for friends.

Works great Jan 08, 2012
By mommaof3 With my daughter's 21st birthday coming up, I wanted to get her a breathalyzer. I bought this one based on all of the positive reviews and have not been disappointed. The keychain size is perfect for fitting into her purse which means it's always with her. It appears to be very accurate. Tip: Mints will increase your BAC level by .01 so use the device before you pop a mint in your mouth.

I like it Nov 25, 2011
By Stephen Bardine I've used this product for several weeks and I like it. Results are consistent and the product is small enough that I don't think twice about carrying it along. It comes with 3 mouthpieces but I never use them - I just blow directly on the fold-out mouthpiece.

it is what it is Mar 31, 2012
By Bob This thing is quite a battery hog (AAA size). Had an alocohol sensor unit that cost more and seemed to be more accurate than this one for a decade before it quit working. This one registered a 0.01 after a beer a few nights back- seems to work so far. Don't drink that much nowadays but I want to know just where I stand... One can get into serious trouble if he hurts/kills someone while driving impaired.
Will update this after I compare it to the BACtrack S80 fuel cell model that I recently ordered arrives.
Update: Drank two beers 24 oz. total. Here are the results as my body eliminated the alcohol. Three digit numbers on the left are the pricy fuel cell model results.
6:56pm .029 vs. .06 BAC 7:12pm .022 vs. .04 7:21pm .020 vs. .03 7:38pm .016 vs. .03 8:36pm .000 vs. .00
The two digit numbers on the right are this inexpensive keychain model. The three digit numbers on the left are the BACtrack S80 $136. model. My stomach was completely empty when I did the above comparison. My old alcohol sensor unit seemed to be more accurate than this one. A fuel cell model is the way to go if you really need accuracy and not a vague idea...
Blew into a fuel cell looking model years back when a cop thought I was drunk. He was puzzled for I was well below 0.08 but had alocohol on my breath... Am glad I have an accurate fuel cell breathlizer now. Will know just where I stand before driving. Cheap insurance.
